Team Structure
I worked as the sole UI/UX designer, I had bi-weekly virtual meetings with the CEO to ensure I was designing inline with the business requirements.
My Role
My role entailed redesigning the responsive website for Dannyokec Group of Companies. The objective was to develop an intuitive layout that improved overall user experience and heightened customer engagement. This case study clarifies the methodologies utilized in redeveloping the website and the obstacles faced during the process.
Design Process:
The design process commenced with an analysis of the current website, pinpointing areas for improvement and aspects that were functioning effectively. I conducted user research to gain deeper insight into the needs, habits, and expectations of the target audience. Utilizing this data, I formulated user personas, user stories, and scenarios to facilitate the design process. After gathering all crucial information, I began drafting wireframes for the updated design. Focusing on user experience, I crafted a sleek, modern, and minimalist design that was effortless to navigate. The wireframes subsequently evolved into high-fidelity designs featuring color palettes, typography, and imagery.

To create a unified brand image that inspires trust, I maintained the company's distinctive colors on all Call To Action buttons across the website's diverse sections and pages.
Challenges:
The CEO and other stakeholders were impressed by the design and gave their approval for development soon after viewing it. However, the transition to the development team presented numerous challenges. Despite having comprehensive documentation, implementation issues arose.
Some of the problems included:
Incorrect Coding – Various parts of the design were programmed inaccurately, making it hard to verify the design's functionality. Miscommunication – A communication breakdown occurred between the development and UX teams, leading to misunderstandings and delays in the development process.
Technical Limitations – Due to technological restrictions, certain design elements could not be executed.
Responsive Design – While the site was created for responsiveness, ensuring smooth operation across multiple devices was a bit challenging for the developers.
Solution:
In order to tackle these challenges, I worked closely with the development team to guarantee that all members comprehended the design and its primary goal. We also created a comprehensive style guide to uphold consistency in design features and provided supplementary documentation to assist in the execution process. To overcome the technological limitations, we cooperated to find alternative solutions that would still deliver a satisfying user experience. We conducted tests on multiple devices to verify the website's responsiveness and performance.
Conclusion:
The Dannyokec Group of Businesses website overhaul presented a demanding task, yet the ultimate outcome proved gratifying. The key takeaway emphasizes the value of collaboration between the UX and development teams to facilitate a smooth transition and efficient design implementation. This case study serves as an example of just how crucial exceptional communication, adept problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail become when designing a website.
